Description
King Robert is a blended Scotch whisky from Ian Macleod Distillers, who own Glengoyne (and now Tamdhu), as well as bottle the excellent Isle of Skye blend and the Chieftain’s Choice range of single malts.
Nose. Amazing tones of single malt who have completed their sentences in a barrel of Bourbon. A very warm, fruity smell. Ripe yellow apples, pears-Duchess. Summer. A little cream and quite a bit of varnish. Taste. Light, sweet, delicious. Very disposes to what would drink a lot! Simple, but beautiful in its simplicity, justifying the best expectations. The aftertaste is not long, not very sweet and also pleasant. It is like music that plays in the restaurant background, without disturbing you, and creating a good atmosphere. Without excessive obsession, without ambition. Just a nice whisky. And for blend, so at all super! Solid 87.
