Description
The Botanist, 22 hand-foraged local botanicals delicately augment nine berries, barks, seeds and peels during an achingly slow distillation. Lovely, with a slightly oily, pleasant palate-coating presence.
Palate: Cool mint and juniper, slightly pine-forward juniper at first. Citrus, primarily lemon zest on the early mid-palate before sweet spices and flowers come through. Woodruff, chamomile and herbs de provenance. Warm juniper late with echoes of vanilla cream, liquorice and birch bark.
Finish: Relatively long, lightly dry finish with a gentle, pleasing astringency.
The Botanist, rich, smooth and delicate flavours make it one of the most versatile gin in the world.
